Palazzo Mannaioni is located in the historic center of Florence, in the ancient Santo Spirito neighborhood, also known as "Oltrarno" as it is located on the opposite bank of the Arno River from the other three ancient neighborhoods: Santa Maria Novella, San Giovanni, and Santa Croce.

Via Maffia is one of the cross streets of Via di Santo Spirito and owes its name to the disciple and apostle Matthias. In medieval times, Maffia was also a feminine name.

To this day, Santo Spirito has preserved the authentic charm of old Florence, with its narrow streets and alleys, traditional artisan workshops, cozy osterie, trattorie, and wine bars. The neighborhood is also alive with antique shops, artists' studios, and open-air markets. Here, Florentines love spending weekend evenings enjoying an aperitif, a stroll, a chat with friends, a delicious gelato, a pizza, and a casual dinner.

You won't find a large sign to identify us, because we care about preserving the history of our city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You might also be confused by the house numbers: some are blue, others are red, and they don't appear consecutive; but they are a distinctive feature of bygone eras.

Staying in the apartments of Palazzo Mannaioni is like being at home, amidst the history and culture of Florence and Tuscany. All the interesting places to visit are just a short distance away, and a relaxing walk is the most practical and beautiful way to reach them.

The prestigious Mannaioni family built this palace in the 15th century as their city residence, but over time they focused their activities in Montaione, in the Florentine Valdelsa, on the border with Chianti. In recent decades, the palace has been converted into a hotel and was recently renovated. The renovations have preserved, emphasized, and integrated the ancient and historic elements, blending them with Made in Italy design furnishings to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
